“Softly Falling Snow”
Design for patchwork and appliqué quilt
After I’d made the autumn-themed The Grape Thieves quilt inspired by William Morris prints, I naturally started thinking about making a similar quilt for each of the remaining seasons (as you do!) This winter version is designed to evoke the chilly quiet of a walk in the woods through softly falling snow.

Goodafternoon, since number 83 I am a subscriber from today’s quilter. I love your quilts from Spring and Summer in issue 85 and 90. Is it possible to get the paterns of Autumn and winter? Hope to hear from you, kind regards, Anneke from Holland.
Hi Anneke
It’s lovely to hear you like the Morris Seasons patterns – Autumn (The Grape Thieves) is available here on my site: https://www.fibowman.com/hobgoblin-cottage/ (or on Etsy if you prefer – search for Hobgoblin Cottage). Winter (Softly Falling Snow) isn’t quite finished as a pattern yet but I’m hoping to have it available by the end of the summer. If you sign up on my mailing list – link on the right – I’ll let you know when it’s available.
